LEARNING STYLE AS A FACTOR INFLUENCING PUPIL´S LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT

Learning style comprises a specific way which the pupil applies in his or her learning process. Although it concerns processes which the pupil prefers in a specific period, and we cannot assume they will stay constant during his or her life since the learning style is not only influenced by pupil’s ontogenetic specifics but also by his or her individual personality. The primary aim of this paper is to highlight the significance of analyzing and diagnosing pupils’ learning styles. Familiarity with learning style of the pupil is important not only for the teacher, who is able to lead the pupils successfully but also for the pupil himself who can, with the help of the teacher, explore and come up with his own learning strategies. In this meaning, we consider the learning style to be an important factor influencing the pupil’s learning achievement.
