Abstract
Cultural and scientific heritage, which is stored in archives, libraries, museums and galleries, represents very important source of information in the contemporary digital age. Archives preserve and make accessible their documents for the public. Teachers of history and other subjects can use in the educational process electronic sources of information from archives too. Teacher has to have knowledge of computer technologies, for instance: working with text, presentation skills, creation of tabs and working in simple graphic environment. The internet offers a lot of digital sources, which could be used in the educational practice. Educator applies this knowledge during the lesson or excursion tour in an archives, museum, gallery or library. Scholars and students of the ground and high schools acquire the knowledge about their national. regional or local history. Education and practice with the electronic information sources enrichs teachers and students in their real life with positive values.
